Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy that is most widely used in the treatment of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. ABA is recognized as the gold standard for treatment for individuals with ASD by the American Board of Pediatrics, U.S. Surgeon General, and the National Institute of Mental Health. ABA applies the principles of behavior analysis or the science of behavior to improve the quality of life of individuals through behavior change. ABA involves reducing challenging behavior, increasing functional communication, and teaching daily living and social skills.

Poppy Behavior is in-network with a select few insurance carriers including:
Cigna/Evernorth
Texas Medicaid
Aetna
Keeping our in-network status limited allows Poppy Behavior to focus on the client and his/her individual needs.
Insurance companies often limit a provider’s ability to customize and individualize services based on client needs. Electing to use private pay services allows families to receive more client driven services rather than diagnosis driven services.
Families are encouraged to check with their insurance providers to determine what their out of network benefits are and what services are eligible for reimbursement with proper documentation. Please reach out to Monica for a list of questions to ask when you call your insurance.
